TRA CIELO E MARE : Sono nato come fotografo subacqueo ma nel tempo non sono riuscito a sfuggire al richiamo della fotografia di paesaggio; conscio che questo genere richiederebbe molto più tempo e studio mi limito ad immortalare la mia terra, giusto come pausa di riflessione, soprattutto durante le fredde giornate invernali quando il libeccio soffia forte e non permette le immersioni. Ritrarre la “mia” Liguria è solo un modo per stare vicino al mare, avvolto dalla quiete e spesso solo, abbarbicato su uno scoglio ad assaporare la sensazione di salsedine al tramonto … La mia liguria è tutta qui, nel salmastro, tra cielo, terra e mare …

BETWEEN SKY AND SEA : I’m Born as underwater photographer, i was unable to escape the landscaping contamination. Photographing my land seemed to me like a duty, a moment of pause to reflect, to follow the different seasonal rhythms, especially on cold winter days when the Libeccio wind blows strong and does not allow diving. Portraying “my” Liguria is just a way to stay close to the sea, surrounded by the quiet and often perched on a rock experiencing the sensation of saltiness at sunset … My Liguria is all here, in the briny, between sky, earth and sea …

STELLA MARIS

Il 13 settembre si Celebra San Venerio patrono del Golfo della Spezia e dei Fanalisti d’Italia, Monaco eremita del VII° sec. d.c., San Venerio ero solito accendere nelle notti buie, un falò sulla sommità dell’isola del Tino per segnare la via alle navi di passaggio e mettere in allerta sulla pericolosa secca posta proprio a pochi metri dalla scogliera. STELLA MARIS 

September 13th is celebrated  Saint Venerio, protector of La Spezia’s  Gulf and Italian Lighthouse worker Patron; he was an eremit in seventeenth century. D.c. and used to light a fire during dark nights on the top of Tino Island in orger to mark the way to passing ships and alert to the dangerous emerging reef  just a few meters from the cliff.
